We’re now looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our team. It goes without saying that you’ll need to have the same passion for high-quality, regional content that we do, as you’ll be bringing first-hand experience to everything you write.
We use a mix of SEO, virality and direct response tactics to inspire people to act, so we’re looking for someone with experience working in full time content or copywriting role. And if you have experience with content strategy and analytics, that’s a plus.
The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for writing high-quality, search-optimised content that drives traffic, engages the reader and inspires them to take action. In doing so, you’ll contribute to the wider objectives of the team to maintain and grow our search position, as well as building brand awareness and growing our audience base.
Our copywriters use viral, SEO and response marketing techniques to get industry-leading results. They bring personal experience and local expertise to everything they write, ensuring our content offers value at every stage, and always stays true to our brand.
Writing is just one part of the role. From idea generation and keyword research to image sourcing, proofing and build, you’ll take full responsibility for the content you produce. You will also help to maintain our content catalogue, produce our email newsletter and feed back on results.
Our copywriters are our eyes and ears on the ground. They’re always looking for stories our readers will love because they’re inherently reader-centric. They’re always thinking about who they are, what they want to know and how we can help them have better experiences. To do this, they immerse themselves in the data and get to know our readers and their interests.
4+ years of experience in a full-time content or copywriting role
Experience building content in WordPress and using GA4 and other SEO tools is desirable
